October 4th 10:20 p.m.: I just received a call with some REALLY BAD NEWS.. Chuck McConnell informed us of Larry Weekley’s passing. Larry called last night at Swinging Singles, and tonight, he had a private family square dance, and passed away while he was calling.
Please keep his family in your prayers.
We know no other information. As soon as we hear anything, I will pass it on. If anyone else knows anything, please let us know.

We have one other item of concern and that is that Jan Smith fell and broke her nose (I think it was today). Please keep her in your prayers.

One of our members, Marsha Snyder, on Monday, September 8th, had a mini-stroke and had some minor symptoms. They were planning to keep her in the hospital for a couple of days, and release her. On Wednesday, September 10th, she had another stroke, which caused her to have complete paralysis of the left side of her body. Oct. 1st update: Marsha and Gary joined us for our dance on Friday, Sep. 26th for our Anniversary dance. She was doing better, walking some, and with some strength in her left hand as she shook hands. We were really glad to see her. She has continued to improve since then, and her left side is slowly starting to improve.

A couple of our members are in the recovery process. Please keep them in your prayers and thoughts.

Purpole Hancock is continuing to recover from cancer in his abdomen. They are giving him chemotherapy so they can shrink the cancer and stabalize its growth. Please include him in your prayers and thoughts.

Sue Reed was informed on Oct. 31st, 2007, that her breast cancer had metastasized (spread) to her bones and bone marrow. On Nov. 7th, she learned that tests showed the cancer was confined to her bones and bone marrow (not in any of the organs). Sue is getting several types of treatment along with a new chemotherapy. They seem to be helping and she is getting around a lot better. She has been dancing some at the recent dances. Her cancer cell count has decreased and it is also in the normal category.
